  1. Think of all those sitting duck nuclear power plants and their fuel pools in South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. Think of what a real war would do to them. 25 nuclear power plants alone in little South Korea. 50 in japan with a few running and quite a few having plenty of plutonium around. Quite a few fuel storage pools in japan still active. Taiwan has 4 rickety old reactors that could go off by earthquake anytime, anyway.

Think if their would have been functioning nuclear power plants in the countries america has invaded in the past 50 years.

Think of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Iraq, Afghanistan having had nuclear power plants or a few stuffed-to-the- brim enriched-uranium and plutonium fuel-rod storage pools.
A fire in one high level waste cooling pool alone, would devastate a huge area and make it diseased and ruined like the exclusion areas around Fukushima and Chernobyl for many years.

If there had been nuclear power plants in vietnam(which they want now), Cambodia, Iraq, Afgan or Laos, with the kind of war america has and is waging still in Afghanistan, there would be nothing left of Vietnam. Laos, Cambodia, and Iraq are still ruined countries but their would be nothing left of them with horrific nuclear power plants melting and nuclear fuel pools burning.

America did its est to bomb and agent orange Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam into the stone age but nuclear power operation there would have annihilated them and had a far reaching effect on the world

  2. China is vulnerable to nuclear attacks as well. Their record on warehouse safety (not) gives rise to doubts that they could prevent terrorism against their nuclear sites.
