Daiichi Today

Thanks for everyone's comments about what is happening at Daiichi. I'm sorry I haven't had time to respond individually. I'm pressing against a July 30 deadline for our edited book, Fukushima: Dispossession or DeNuclearization. My editing skills are being tried and I've discovered my ambivalent relationship with the comma.

Back to the webcam. It just doesn't look like fog to me so I'm concerned, especially given that TEPCO recently acknowledged it had a cooling problem with unit 5 (see Simply Information for details http://www.fukuleaks.org/web/?p=13386)

  1. Quote of Dan Baird's song:

"Right on up to high school
People said, I was a writin' fool
All my letters became really great
With punctuation that was never late

But I was havin' trouble meetin' girls
I never knew the things to say
Soon I had 'em all overwhelmed
When they heard me talk this way like this

    I love you period
Do you love me question mark?
    Please, please exclamation point
I want to hold you in parentheses"

Underlining my hope this gives you and the readership a good guffaw (providing my timing doesn't draw bullets). :)

  2. Another Fuku upcycle is in progress. Fuku Diary has a story about a spike from a small earthquake. Taiwan and now areas in the Midwest are spiking now too.
